Crazy Joe Event Strategy Guide
This guide covers proven strategies for alliance-wide and individual success in the Crazy Joe event (Levels 1–11). Follow these steps to maximize your points and help your alliance claim top rank.
1. Read the Rules
Before the event starts, make sure every member reads the official event rules. You’ll often find scoring details or allowances you might otherwise miss.
2. Maximize Member Participation
- Early Notification: Send detailed instructions to all alliance members at least a few days before Crazy Joe begins. Don’t wait until the last minute—people have other commitments.
- Use “Bear Trap” Periods: Post reminders during bear trap cooldowns when members are most likely to be online.
- Track Attendance: Aim for 100% participation in each wave—more participants equals exponentially more points.
3. Efficient Troop/ Hero Trading
- Trade Early: Complete all troop trades hours before the event—avoid the last-minute rush.
- Empty Your City: Keep zero troops at home. Defensive points cap out quickly, so any troops left behind only steal reinforcement points from teammates.
- Simple Equalization: Use the “equalize” button for trades—no need to micromanage tiers or exact numbers.
- Heroes at Home: Leave your three strongest rally/call heroes in your city to maximize defense scoring.
- Pairing: Stronger players should trade with weaker players to balance incoming defense.
4. Troop Types (Levels 1–11)
Only Infantry and Lancers score kills and points. Marksmen do not score unless your Infantry/Lancers are defeated—then your Marksmen take over.
- If you can’t send all troops, prioritize clearing Infantry and Lancers out of your city.
- Leave Marksmen behind only if you must; they will not score until your front‐line troops fall.
5. Wave Breakdown (Difficulty 11)
Use this wave schedule to coordinate who trades and who defends when:
- Waves 1–6: Targets all members
- Wave 7: Targets online members
- Own‐city defense: 30 600 pts
- Reinforcements total: 15 300 pts
- Waves 8–9: All members
- Wave 10: HQ defense
- Waves 11–13: All members
- Wave 14: Online members
- Own‐city defense: 55 800 pts
- Reinforcements total: 27 900 pts
- Waves 15–16: All members
- Wave 17: Online members
- Own‐city defense: 66 600 pts
- Reinforcements total: 33 300 pts
- Waves 18–19: All members
- Wave 20: HQ defense
Each online member earns a minimum of 229 500 points from Waves 7, 14, and 17 alone.
6. HQ Defense Rounds (Waves 10 & 20)
- Timing: Wait until Wave 19 has hit before recalling reinforcements. Pulling back too early loses points.
- Rally‐Style Defense: Deploy proper troop ratios and rally heroes. In practice, perfect ratios aren’t required—focus on solid garrison stats.
- HQ Priority: Crazy Joe always targets the highest‐level HQ. If you’ve unlocked Tundra HQ, it will be hit instead of Icefield HQ.
Final Tips
- Keep a shared checklist of member trades and wave assignments.
- Debrief after each event to refine your timing and hero choices.
- Consistency wins—apply this method every time for reliable top‐place finishes.
